- Earned a Bachelor’s degree from Vietnam National University of Education, majoring in Engineering Physics, and graduated with distinction with a Master of Science degree in Automation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He is also a member of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
- In 2000, he was selected by the Vietnam Academy of Science to attend a training course in Germany on automotive electronic engineering and pedagogical skills.
- In 2002, he was subsequently sent to Japan as a research fellow in electronics and microcontroller engineering at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC), Chofu, Tokyo, Japan.
